Sean's blog introduction

1. What is your name? My name is Sean, full name is Sean Achilles Junior Creighton-Higgins (very long I know).

   What are you Majoring in or planning to Major in at KPU? I am planning to major in journalism as this is my first time at KPU, second year of my course. 

   Why are you taking this course? I am taking this course because well, even though this is my second year in my studies I still never taken any sort of journalism class before, so I thought it was pretty important for me to take this class. 

   What are you hoping to learn in this course? I am really hoping to learn how to write and be better at finding stories and writing about them. As I always had a passion for writing yet had trouble with writing about stuff other than my own stories/ideas. 

   What is the best place you have ever visited and why? The best place I have ever visited is Spain, to be exact, Barcelona, it seems any type of food you get there tastes insane. Weather  it be pizza, tacos, or burgers every food item and ingredient tastes so good, the weather is the most perfect blend of warm, breezy and sunny, its not like most hot places where you feel gross or drowsy after spending 15 minutes in the cooking sun. You feel good to spend all day in the sun there. The cosmetics of the city  are beautiful, you get a mixture of old ancient buildings to modern towers and restaurants, as well as mid-late 1900s homes and shops. I have seen some unbelievable pieces of architecture there and even at my younger age I was mesmerized. Barcelona is the place you want to go to get only the greatness of Europe, good food great walkable city, decently priced, insane beaches, incredible architecture, an absolute blessing to explore, good people of all races so nobody will feel out of place. 

   What do you like to do in your spare time? Hard question, lots... when I'm indoors, I love to watch shows, movies also play video games and look at browse stuff like stuff I am interested in, I also like writing in my free time. I am always writing down notes for ideas and topics to write about. When I'm outdoors, I like getting food seeing my friends, bike riding, skateboarding and just walking around and exploring and taking photos. There is so much I like doing that is important to me so I try to do what I love in my free time as much as I can. 

   What is a thing you'd recommend to others and why? This was a tough decision since I consume so much media and love so much as well. I would recommend the show "Atlanta" created by Donald glover. I have so much to say about this show. On a surface level, the show is loosely based around a few characters, Earn, Darius, and Alfred aka "paper boi". Earn is Paper boi's manager as he is an upcoming rapper and Darius is their best friend. that very brief description doesn't do the plot justice however, Every episode is so very different than the last it has such strong attributes in surrealism, comedy, drama, cinematography, soundtrack and amazing dialogue. Even if you don't care for the plot the characters,  "randomness" and those mentioned attributes suck you in, the show is its own piece of art in itself, it's impossible to explain so I am strongly suggesting you watch it and see what I mean.
